VITA

Vita, a town of 3,000 standing 480 m asl, was founded in the 18th  century. It is laid out on an orthogonal grid developed around a main axis. It suffered the heavy injuries of an earthquake that largely ravaged the Belice valley’s area in 1968. Following that tragic event, a considerable number of Vita’s people has been migrating to other, allegedly safer, sites of the town.
