CAMPOFIORITO

Campofiorito is a small town of the Palermo province, counting about 1,500 inhabitants,

lying near the so-called Collina del Calvario (Calvario Hill).

It began life as a hamlet founded by Stefano Reggio who later became the first Prince of Campofiorito. His family ruled over the town for about 200 years until it passed to the Brancifortes.

Campofiorito is laid out on a regular urban plan, with streets organized in a grid. It has numerous interesting churches such as the Chiesa di Santo Stefano and the 1800’s San Giuseppe’s.
