FIUMEDINISI

Fiumedinisi is a small town of 2,000 inhabitants, located about 200m a.s.l. in the province of Messina. Its roots go back to the Norman-Swabian dominations; it notably developed in the 16th century. The main building is the Duomo dedicated to the Annunciation; this is laid out on a basilical plan divided into three naves and ornamented with numerous pieces of art such as a 1500’s polychrome wooden statue of St. Lucy and a 1600’s painting of Santa Cosma and San Damiano.
